Durga puja is the biggest festival of Bengalis. Durga Puja is also called as Durgotsov. It is an annual Hindu festival which is mostly popular to the state of West Bengal, Assam, Bihar, Tripura & Odisha. This festival is organised in the Bengali calendar month of Ashwin which corresponds to the English calendar month of September - October. This puja performs in home and as well as many places of outsides. In that times, People visiting to the many places for Pandel Hoping & Enjoyment. Visitors eats many things & wear new dresses to the every day & by this, there are huge profit on business. The festival is also remarked by many activities like performs arts, gift giving, family visiting and public processions. Durga puja is an important festival which is intended to showing the power of Shaktism of a woman or Hindu.

As per mythology, Durga has won the battle against of Assur or devils which was considered to the victory of Goddess. Durga Puja also coincide with Dussehra & Navaratri of the other tradition of Hinduism. Thus, it is an old tradition of Hinduism which is origin from 14th century. It is an important festival or emotional festival of bengalines and Hinduism.
